ROLL FORMING MACHINES

RLW Series
Light Duty

The RLW Forming Machines serve the area of light metal forming. Versatile in operation and readily adjustable for a wide range of light moldings. They require very little floor space and may be easily relocated for production planning. These machines find a wide application in the production of small tubing, trim moldings, weather-strip sections and many other high volume light items. These Roll Forming Machines can also be built with variations to accommodate special operations to fit metal forming needs within the machine's working range.

MLW Series
Medium Light Duty

The MLW Model Roll forming Machines are used for forming medium light sections that are slightly wider and slightly deeper than the light series. These machines may be applied efficiently and economically for low as well as high production jobs. The close horizontal distance of roll spindles permits easier forming of pre-notched stock into complicated of irregular shapes.

HMW Series
Medium Duty

The HMW Model Roll Forming Machines cover the range of medium moldings. These machines have more depth range than the MLW series. Light gauge, wide stock may be easily formed without loss of shaft rigidity. Horizontal roll space is well proportioned for smooth and accurate flow of metal from one pass to another to produce an accurate form even on deep irregular shapes. Like all other models, they are built as a complete "ready to run" package, ruggedly constructed for long life and minimum maintenance.

MW Series
Medium Heavy Duty

These models are the most popular used in industry today. They are built to withstand the continuous high production pressure placed on roll formed product manufacturers. Highly flexible and readily adaptable with a great variety of working accessories, the MW machines with heavy-duty shafts are capable of handling medium and light materials up to 30" wide. These machines together with other models are adapted easily into automation lines performing work in one continuous operation.

HW Series
Heavy Duty

These models serve the area of heavier metal forming. Ample power and rigidity are built into these machines to perform heavier rolling operations at maximum speeds. Like other models, these machines, with slight modifications, may be joined in tandem with one another to produce heavy intricate rolled sections. The clean functional design makes these models an ideal choice in automated lines producing structural rolled sections such as doors, window frames, gutter, down -spouts, channel, angles and many other high production heavy items.

XHW Series
Extra Heavy Duty

The XHW Series is the largest standard size Roll Forming Machine made by Tishken for practical production rolling. Designed to meet the demand for handling wide and deep heavy sections, these machines are constructed with ample room for great variety of working accessories. In addition, these models give all the advantages found in the lighter models.

Gearing
Equal, Unequal and Toggle
Available in RLW, MLW,HMW, MW and XHW series of machinery.

Rotary Indexable Roll Forming Machine
Four (4) roll forming platforms on one machine base. Rotates in seconds to place any of the four sets of rolls into operating position. (Patented)

Automatic Adjustable Roll Forming Machine
All spindles on both the stationary and the moveable heads are powered. Moveable head is also powered for lateral adjustment. Quick change for various width panel sections.

Rafting Roll Forming Machine
Patented clutch mechanism, Flick one switch and within two (2) seconds the drive train is disengaged or engaged and the raft is ready for removal or running. This feature, with suitable lifting equipment, permits a raft to be removed and a raft with a different set of tooling to be installed and ready for production in approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Driven top and bottom roll shafts. Optimum floor space utilization. Provides stable "NO SAG" platform and precision positioning of the raft assembly. Able to produce close tolerance parts.

CARBIDE SAW-MILL CUTOFF SYSTEMS
These high output cutoff machines are available in two versions - pivot and slide type - each having its own unique relationship to the cutting process, cost and bar or billet size. Each machine is designed to become an integral part of the life cycle process and to perform as well as the match of carbide cutting surfaces and materials will allow. Thus, the power, mass and rigidity of each machine model is matched to the entire process of optimum bar and billet cutoff

Designed for Fast Cutting
Each machine combines rigid fabricated steel construction, DC spindle drives and durable, negative rake, carbide-tipped circular saw blades. Which means you get flat and parallel "milled" cuts on ferrous bars, billets and forging in second instead of hours.

Automatic Operations
Automatic indexing allows the machines to cycle continuously, creating a true production system. One operator can monitor two or more machines. Accordingly, direct labor costs for cutoff operations are reduced while increasing output.

High Feed Rates Matched to Material
Feed rates are infinitely variable to 60 ipm. Rates can therefore be matched to the material to produce a predetermined chip load for each carbide insert.

DC Drives Power Spindles
Highly controllable DC drives to 125 hp power the spindle to produce optimum surface speeds. This applies to all available saw diameters for the full range of alloy and carbon steel you cut. Operators can adjust spindle speed up to 480 sfm with and easy-to-use SCR controller. Convenient digital readouts continuously monitor feeds and speeds.

The Cutting Process
The carbide tipped blades cause the heat generated by the cutting process to pass into the chip rather than to the blade or the material being cut. Benefits of that include: Coolant is not needed, the operation is neater and the material is easier to handle. In addition, the cutting action allows the dry chip to fall directly and freely into the conveyor system below the machine. Cost and floor space for coolant and filtration units are eliminated.

Long Tool Life
Depending on the material your cutting tool life can average from 10,000 to 30,000 sq. in. of cutting between blade sharpenings. Because this is 3 to 4 times the life of conventional blades, less downtime is incurred due to blade changes.

Carbide Cutting Systems Save Time
The cutting accuracy of these cutoff saw systems eliminates truing or cleanup cuts by milling or turning. Thus you conserve material since you can safely allow less surplus to remain prior to machining. That, coupled with the capability for high speeds dramatically reduce labor and operator costs per square in of cut.
